Frequently Asked Questions
LOCATION
How do we get to Cagbalete Island?
Getting to Mauban port
If you are taking a private car, just put “Mauban port” or “Mauban, Quezon” in your Waze app. When
you get to the port, an attendant will help you park your car for a 250 PHP per night fee.
If you are commuting via public transportation, you can take a Jacliner bus from either the LRT
Buendia
or Cubao station to Mauban, Quezon at 4am in order to get to the Mauban port in time for the 10am boat
trip to the island. Bus fare costs 318 PHP. From the Mauban bus station, take a tricycle for P10 to the
Tourism office at the Mauban port to register.
Once you get to Mauban port, you have to pay an environmental fee of 50 PHP per head at the Tourism
office.
Paradiso Amadeo has a desk at the Tourism office managed by Melinda, who can help facilitate parking your
vehicle (if you came by private car) and boat requirements. Please note that the tourism office does
not allow walk ins, so you will be charged a deposit of 500 PHP if you are coming to the island
without a prior booking.
Getting to the island
You can then get to Cagbalete Island either by private or public boat that takes about 45 minutes.

Paradiso Amadeo. You can arrange for one at the tourism office or call Melinda at 09564730563. The rates
are as follows:

If you prefer to take the public boat transfer, the rate is 100 PHP per person, one way. It

take note of the public boat schedules below:

BOOKING A RESERVATION
When you reserve, we need your name, phone number, number of pax, date of visit and food requirements
(food package or kitchen rental). For boat requirements, contact Melinda directly at 09564730563.
We require a deposit of 50% of the accommodation and food total to reserve your spot. Once you have

our bank details. We only have BPI or BDO as options.
Once you complete the deposit needed to reserve (we request that you deposit promptly within 3 days of

page. You will also need to present the payment slip upon arrival at Paradiso Amadeo, so please make sure
you bring it with you. The rest of the payment shall be settled in person upon arrival at our resort.
Walk ins are not allowed by the Tourism office, so for those who want to take a chance, you can
make an in-person deposit of 500 PHP at the Paradiso Amadeo desk. However, we cannot guarantee that you
will be allowed through, so we recommend making reservations in advance.
RESORT POLICIES
When there is a “no sailing” announcement owing to bad weather made by the Coast Guard, you are entitled
to a re-scheduling.
No smoking is imposed in and around the huts as they are made of native materials and are therefore
extremely flammable. We can provide a smoking area though for your health, we discourage the addiction.
Sea air is best for the lungs.
Trash cans are provided, so please do not litter. We want our space to be clean and sacred.
Please do not clog the toilets with your tissues and feminine products -- use the trash cans for that. The
island cannot handle more than necessary in our septics. Damage cost during your stay will be charged to
you.
Eating in your sleeping quarters is prohibited for your own good as it will invite the many pests, bugs,
and insects to bother you while you are in dreamland.
Paradiso Amadeo’s ambiance is private, spacious, relaxing, and serene. We discourage karaoke singing at
night, unless you rent the resort exclusively for your group. As a courtesy to other paying guests, your
noise level must be contained in your area only. Laughter is highly encouraged.
The rules below are not our resort policies, but are mandated by the Tourism office and DENR:
Pets are not allowed on the island.
Bonfires are not allowed on the island.
